Slit Jockey Records is starting off the new year with their first ever artist album on the label, which is also Sduk’s first full length release!

On Anything Could Happen we hear Sduk explore a variety of tempos yet there is a clear stylistic thread that ties it all together as a cohesive and diverse collection of forward thinking bass music.

West London’s Sduk has been buzzing on the internet and the streets every since his debut on Slit Jockey with 2010’s Clunge 12” and digital release (remixes by NastyNasty, Grievous Angel, Phaseone and more). In the summer of ’11 Slit Jockey released the YouNyt EP (remixes by Talk, Hellfire Machina and Halp). Now the world is ready for the young producer’s debut album!

Guest appearances sprinkle extra flavor on this already excellent package, with Bristol’s rave rap group Central Spillz tearing down a heartfelt anthem for “Fire,” Starkey’s co-production on “Oahshens” gets everyone epic on the dancefloor and Sduk’s previously released instrumental “YouNyt” gets reworked as a grime banger featuring Nottingham MC Karizma.

Sduk and his previous Slit Jockey works have been featured in XLR8R, Pitchfork, Knowledge Magazine, Symbiosis, Bass Music Blog, Squeegie Sounds, Doktor Krank and many other blogs/media. J-Sweet, the respected and accomplished DJ, producer and remixer, has been integral to the grime scene since its creation. He produced the timeless anthem “Kerb” as well as working with artists such as Lethal B, Wiley, JME, Usher, Craig David, Kele Le roc, NASTY Crew, Ms. Dynamite and Chris Brown. He’s established his own labels – Sweetbeatz and Marxmen Dubs. 2011 has seen J-Sweet launch a full frontal attack on the grime scene by taking it in his palms and propelling the sound to the forefront of the industry and making people pay attention!

The first installement of our brand new series sees 23 year old Mark Instinct from Canada step to the task of mashing together his favourite beats along with giving us a sneak preview to the forthcoming filth from his lab.

Mark has been DJing for the past 7 years, and producing since an even earlier age. He started out making house under a different alias, had a couple of tunes signed to Total Recordings in Italy and Fluent Recordings in Canada but moved into Dubstep about a year ago and fell in love.

The release “Sketchy Maxx” was in Digital Tunes and Trackitdown top 10 for 3 weeks running. It has since been remixed by the likes of Trillbass, Emu, Pawn, Richie August, RSK, Kellydean + some!
