In just 2 weeks, beautiful, vibrante, Montreal is about to undergo a massive transformation as all concrete structures in the city will begin to shake at the meer though of September 2nd biggest bass party the east/center of Canada has ever undergone. Of course we’re talking about the 2nd edition of DubMachine’s Bass Fest !!!

This time around the festival seems to be on steroids, teaming up with the best and biggest crews in the city, the DubMachine + Bouddha Slinky promo crew with the help of The Session and Saint Woods have lined up a series of 10 SICK SICK SICK headliners teamed up with the cream of the crop of local djs and producers. Not only that, but acquiring the holy grail of Montreal rave venues, the “Palais des Congrès” ready to accomadate 5,000 screaming fans for a long night of bass pressure, sweating, and screaming.

From day one Rusko was surrounded by music. As his solo production moniker, Claw, he’s released a slew of critically acclaimed releases on Shift Recordings, Play Me, and Suicide Dubs, among others, and has been headlining shows in cities across the US over the last 3 years. It’s as Claw he got his start in Houston, gaining notoriety on the DnB circuit locally before making the jump to a short lived career as an audio engineer, and finally stepping onto the national stage as a forthright dubstep producer. Or as part of his current collaboration with Richie August, Hulk, he’s embraced the previously negatively connotated term ‘brostep’ and turned it into a positive to describe the big-room, heavy sound that the two are pushing with their label, Brotown Records. As of recently, she was the winner of the Montreal Diesel:U:Music/MEG Montreal DJ Battle. No one brings it as heavy as this guy and we're so stoked to have him back. _________________________________________________________________ REDEYZ (OTT) An up-and-comer in his own right, RedEyz has been heavily involved in Ottawa’s rave & afterhours scene for well over a decade. From throwing successful events, to performing alongside national/international artists, it was only a matter of time until he took the next step into the production arena. Just like his DJ sets, his influences range from minimal to progressive, techno to drum & bass, deep house to electro, and of course the beast du jour: dubstep! RedEyz teamed up with DZ in the spring of 2008 and their first track, “Call it Dirty”, was picked up by Bass Tourist Records and was released b/w DZ’s “Geeks” (BTR004). The release has been battered by the likes of Sinden, Herve, Kanji Kinetic, Starkey, Bombaman, Joe Rogers, J.O.T.S. & countless others. With the immediate success of their first collaboration, the duo teamed up again in the fall of 2008 to build “Welcome to Vanier” and the off-kilt 4/4 bass smasher “Asian Cuddle Puddle”, due for release on their new digital label “Badman Digital” in mid 2009. He currently holds a residency with Ottawa’s only dubstep monthly “Steppin’ Up!” alongside Bowzer, Tsunami & Pandemic and has numerous releases in the works for late 2009.
