Since my internet provider wasnt able to transfer my internet account to my new pad, there won’t be a JLD mix this week. To help you deal with the lack of bass in your week I’ve got a sweet summer time mix for you to bounce too with beer/margarita in hand.
takeAbath is an American lost in Canada, holding it down in Halifax NS for the past few years. You can catch him every month at the Bus Stop Theatre (Gottigen st. if my memory serves me right) for Dance in a Box along side KDZ.
I’ve been trying to pull this guy to Montreal for a while now, so hopefully he’ll join us for a jam session soon enough.
Grab his JLD mixes too while your at it:

New Syndaesia release = Widdler remix for you (freebie)

This just in, Belgium producer Syndaesia, which you might have run across while listening to the Wu-Tang: Enter the Dubstep album, is set to release his debut album on NYC’s Code of Arms records July 13th. I’m lucky enough to have a few of these under my finger tips, so you’ll be hearing them around Montreal very soon. Until the release you can grab this free 320 of “Walk away” remixed by the mighty Widdler.
——————
Some background info, for those who love to read…
With several epic releases under his belt and an official remix of “Iconoclasts” by the notorious hip hop collective Wu Tang Clan, belgian dubstep prodigy Syndaesia is turning heads all over the world.
This young producer with roots ranging from rock, trance, funk to drum&bass creates music with the sole intention of smashing up a dancefloor. In just a short amount of time he has seemingly reached sonic perfection, giving birth to dubstep with an in-your-face attitude that is on the wish list of radio stations & dj’s around the globe.
In 2009 his unique approach to club music was picked up by Belgian electronics collective AKS (Addicted Kru Sound), who offered Syndaesia the opportunity to become the official guitarist for AKS live & co-produce their upcoming singles.
The very same year Syndaesia won Studio Brussel’s producers contest with his dubstep anthem “Bad Karma”, made a remix for the critically praised album “Wu Tang meets Indie culture VOL 2: Enter the dubstep” & signed record deals with american labels Code of Arms records & Abducted records.
Today the Syndaesia sound continues to rampage across the club scene. His smashing debut album ” Turbulence” is a futuristic cocktail of big stadium drums, twisted basslines, trancey leads, explosive build-ups & tons of energy.
——————
Enjoy the freebie, and check out the mini-promo mix on Syndaesia’s soundcloud.
